PROSPECTUSFOR AIDED PROGRAMMES

    Admission to Undergraduate Programmes 2020-21


    The admission process strictly adheres to the rules and regulations of Mahatma Gandhi University and the Government of Kerala. MGU CAP is for admissions to UG and PG Programmes in Arts and Science Colleges affiliated to the University.The admission process is completely made online in the current scenario of COVID pandemic.     Admission to Undergraduate Programmes 2020-21


  1. Admission to UG and PG programmes are made by the University throughCentralizedAllotment Process. All applicants including Management Quota, Sports Quota, CulturalQuota andPD quotashould apply online.
  2. Application for admission in the college under Management Quota Seats should be made inthe prescribed form which can be had fromthe college or online on payment ofRs. 55/-asregistration fees,(if Registered Post, additional Rs. 25/-to be paid), which is not refundable.
  3. The application for UG/PG programmes, duly filled in should reach the Principal on orbefore the last date published in the University notification. The CAP application numbershould be entered in the form.CAP registered form should be submitted with theapplication form.
  4. Application containing false information will be rejected.
  5. All columns in the application form must be carefully filled in. Self attestation of marksshall be made in appropriate pages. Non compliance of the same will entail rejection ofapplication.
  6. Applicants are advised to keep with them sufficient number of true copies of theircertificates and the mark list before they submit the original at the college office.
  7. Candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe and Other EligibleCommunities are eligible for full fee concession and stipend as per Government norms.(Concession shall be granted by the welfare department on proper application withnecessary certificates to be submitted at the college office before the last date prescribed.)
  8. Students are eligible for full fee concession provided the annual income of their parents/guardians does not exceed Rs. 1, 00,000/-for UG/PG programmes as per Governmentnorms. They will have to produce the Income Certificate issued by the Village Officer at thetime of admission to be considered for the concession.
  9. Children of registered Fishermenare eligible for Lumpsum Grantand monthly stipend asper Government norms. They should produce the Certificate of Registration as Fishermenobtained from theDepartment ofFisheries.
  10. SC/ST/OEC/OBC/SEBC/FC/FM students once admitted on the strength ofthecommunity and Income Certificate should remit all the fee dues for the term, if theydiscontinue their studies.
  11. Students admitted through Management Quota are not eligible for fee concession.
  12. AnIdentity Card with the photograph will be issuedto the student after securingadmission.

Documents to be produced at the college when instructed:


  1. The Allotment Memo received online (Merit Admission).
  2. X Std. certificate to prove Date of Birth-2 copies.
  3. Mark lists of all parts of the Plus Two /equivalent examination.
  4. Transfer Certificate (TC) from the institution last attendedand Conduct Certificate.
  5. Migration Certificate in the case of students passed from any other Universities.
  6. Income Certificate obtained from the Village Officer in caseof those who claim for fee concession (Merit Admission).
  7. Eligibility Certificate from Mahatma Gandhi University, in the case of candidates whohave passed their qualifying examination from otherBoards/Institutes/government,exceptBoard of Higher Secondary EducationKerala, VHSE Kerala, THSE Kerala, CBSEand CISCE.
  8. Recently taken Passport size photographs-4 Nos.
  9. Caste certificate in the case of SC/STcandidateshaveto be submitted(MeritAdmission).
  10. Community Certificatein the case of OEC/OBC/ SEBCcandidates (Merit Admission).
  11. Income and Asset Certificate from the revenue authorities concerned as stipulatedinGO (MS) No. 128/2020/H Edn dated 20/03/2020 in the case of candidates who wishtoavailreservation under EWS (Merit Admission).
  12. Certificate of Registration for Fishermen for FM students(Merit Admission).
  13. Candidates who wish to avail of bonus/weightage of marks shall producethe relevant certificates(Merit Admission).
